One Week Post Show

I’m a week post-competition and I feel great! I did not have to eat like a fat kid after winning my IFBB Pro card last week.  It all had to do with enjoying the right amount of foods that I love and including them in my macros. It’s embarrassing to admit, but I battled with stress eating in the past and I was able to overcome it. That’s why this so important to me to share my experiences and knowledge to keep you from making this mistake.

Rebound after a competition is a given and something many competitors struggle with.  When you diet so strictly and train so intensely for months, you fantasize about all of the things you wish you could eat, and it’s pretty much the first thing you do immediately after the competition is over. Which is a big mistake! And can you lead to over eating when you normally might not have in the past.

Rebounding does not have to be a challenge, if you do it right.  You will need to let your body recover, so don’t treat your body like a garbage can! You will need to add some meals to put weight back healthy and safely (keep in mind a competition weight year round is impossible AND it’s not healthy), lastly you will need to rest your body.

Every coach’s approach is different – My approach is like no other and the reason I was honored with winning my Professional Athlete Card. Don’t disregard the advice from the Professionals!
